I showed a home the other day that was a foreclosure. When I went to unlock the door for my buyer, I noticed a Official Notice plastered to the front door stating the home was being offered on the Court House Steps and it gave a date. The date had long come and gone. When I did the research for my buyer on this home, "I was surprised when I looked at the tax record and the MLS and noticed the owner never attempted to sell the home to save the home from Foreclosure." That saddened me to no end. Because the home was in pristine condition, one of the best foreclosed homes I'd seen in our area. The house was loved...and they lost it to Foreclosure!
